Batumi boulevard from above — the city where a business is registered in one day

Business in Georgia: the 1% tax is not a myth

IE or LLC registration in 1–2 days, small business status, tax portal and a bank account. I guide the whole path in English — and handle the Georgian paperwork myself.

Why Georgia

The numbers businesses relocate for

1% turnover tax for IEs with small business status (up to 500,000 GEL/year)
1 day for registration at the House of Justice, state fee — 60 GEL
0% mandatory social contributions — no fixed payments, no minimum tax
0% corporate profit tax while profit stays reinvested (Estonian model)
Legal form

How registration works

Four steps — and you're an entrepreneur in Georgia

  1. Consultation

We review your activity: IE or LLC, whether the 1% status fits, what to expect from the bank and your tax residency.

  2. House of Justice

Registration in a single visit — in person or remotely, by power of attorney. The extract is ready the next business day.

  3. Tax office & 1% status

Personal account on rs.ge, application for small business status — it takes effect from the next month.

  4. Bank account

We prepare the documents for Bank of Georgia / TBC compliance and accompany you at the branch.

Honestly about 2026

What changed — and why it's not a reason to walk away

Since 1 March 2026 Georgia has a new labour migration law: foreigners need a work permit for labour activity, and for the self-employed and IEs the rules apply from 1 May 2026. It's not a ban — it's a procedure: the documents are entirely obtainable if you do things properly and on time, and that's exactly what I help with.

The second honest point — banks. Georgian banks review foreign applicants individually: compliance asks about your source of income and business background. A prepared document package solves most problems — don't walk in off the street.

And third: your home country's tax rules still apply to you. Georgia has double taxation treaties with 50+ countries, but whether the Georgian 1% closes the matter depends on your tax residency — worth calculating in advance. More in the article about the 1% tax.
